The butterfly habitat is a super cool gift. It is kind of a toy, kind of a learning activity, and loads of fun! This will be a favored gift for any child who receives it. As a side note, I also have a mom with the beginning stages of Alzheimers and she loves it. Although intended for children...WHO LOVE IT....it makes a great gift for any elderly relative or friend who may have a little too much free time. It is something fun for them to do and watch.
You get to watch the butterfly from a larvae (sp?), wait for it to come out of the chrysalis, and then the butterfly emerges and you get to eventually set it free. Then, you can start over again!
Can you tell that I love this butterfly garden? I truly do. It is loved by everyone and is truly unique. Nothing they would ever expect, yet something they will enjoy and be excited about. Everything about it is a win/win situation.

Your Source for Which Toys are Popular with Kids
Although I am a mom now, I was once a childless aunt who adored her nieces (I still adore them, by the way). Although I was always the cool aunt, I had to ask around and research what was popular every holiday to find out what they would like. Of course, they would provide me with a list, which I would get a few things from. But I also wanted to get them something they didn't ask for, that I picked myself. So, I would go on a mission to find what toys or gifts were hot right then for kids in their age group.
I know have 3 kids. Two very opinionated girls who are 11 and 12 yrs old. And my surprise blessing boy who is 4 yrs old. So, I am offering my own resources to you. The toys you will find here are for both girls and boys. I know this is a pink blog. But the only reason for that is that I thought it was pretty. :)
Around the holidays I will also keep track of the most popular and newest gifts from sources like Amazon and Toys-R-Us. Those are the two places I would go to find out what was the most popular before I had my own kids. I will do all of the work for you. It's fun!
